Postdoctoral Position in Complex Systems and Statistical Physics, APCTP, Pohang, Republic of Korea:
Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position in the Junior Research Group (JRG) of “Statistical Physics of Complex Dynamics” led by Prof. Hang-Hyun Jo at the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP), Pohang, Republic of Korea.
APCTP (https://www.apctp.org), founded in 1996, is a non-governmental organization aiming for an international center dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. APCTP offers a great research environment with strong connections to a number of active theoretical and experimental research groups at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). APCTP has broad international agreements with many leading institutions around the globe for scientific exchanges.
Prof. Hang-Hyun Jo’s group has a broad interest in complex systems and statistical physics, focusing on collective dynamics on temporal networks, time series analysis of bursty patterns, and data analysis.
The initial appointment is for one year and extendable up to two years depending on the research performance and funding situation. The starting date of the appointment is expected to be January 1, 2019.
