Young Scientist Training Program (YST) 2026
The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) opens a few positions for the Young Scientist Training program at the postdoctoral fellow level in theoretical physics and related fields. Founded in 1996 under the leadership of Nobel Laureate Prof. C. N. Yang, APCTP is an international research center dedicated to advancing theoretical physics. With 19-member countries, the Center serves as a premier hub for scientific collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region. Our mission is to foster cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary connections across various fields.

JOB DESCRIPTION & ELIGIBILITY
The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) invites applications for the Young Scientist Training (YST) Fellowship. This position is intended for early-career researchers in theoretical physics who have demonstrated research ability.
- · Eligibility: Applicants from all fields of theoretical physics are welcome.
- · Environment: The fellowship provides opportunities to interact and collaborate with APCTP in-house researchers, POSTECH faculty, visiting scholars, and participants in APCTP-supported scientific programs.
Requirements for Application
- · Applicants must hold an official doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, or equivalent) at least three months prior to the start date.
- The degree certificate must be issued and sealed by the awarding institution.
- Certificates of expected graduation, or supporting letters are not accepted.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
- · Annual gross salary: Starting from KRW 36,000,000
- · Research funding: KRW 5,000,000 per year for other research activities.
- · Housing support: A shared house will be provided for up to one month upon initial arrival, to assist with accommodation while you search for permanent housing.
- · One-way airfare to APCTP will be provided
- · Contract term: 2+1 years (renewable for a third year depending on research performance and availability of resources for the program)
