Applications are invited for a one-year postdoctoral research fellow position in theoretical physics at the Asia-Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP). The position is extendable for an additional year based on performance and research funding. The successful candidate will join the Junior Research Group “Quantum Matter Theory,” led by Dr. Kyoung-Min Kim.
About APCTP: Founded in 1996, APCTP is an international organization dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. The Center offers an outstanding research environment with strong connections to numerous active theoretical and experimental groups at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). APCTP also maintains broad international agreements with leading institutions worldwide, facilitating vibrant scientific exchange.
Role and Qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in group collaborations, interact with members at APCTP and partner institutes, and pursue independent research projects.
- ᆞRequirements: A PhD in theoretical/computational magnetism, condensed matter physics, or a closely related field is required by the starting date.
- ᆞDesirable Expertise: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- ᆞTopological magnetism
- ᆞNonlinear spin wave theory
- ᆞAtomistic-spin simulations
- ᆞMicromagnetic simulations

- ᆞDuration: One year (initial), extendable for one additional year.
