The Junior Research Group (JRG), 『Quantum Information, Black Holes, and Holography』, at the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) in Pohang, Korea, invites applications for postdoctoral positions. 

 

APCTP, founded in 1996, is an international organization dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. APCTP offers an excellent research environment with strong connections to a number of active theoretical and experimental research groups at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). APCTP has broad international agreements with many leading institutions around the globe for scientific exchanges. 

 

About the Position

Successful candidates will conduct research in theoretical high-energy physics, working closely with the JRG leader, Prof. Hyun-Sik Jeong, alongside a vibrant community of researchers at APCTP. We especially welcome applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

 

- Holography (Gauge-Gravity Duality)

- Quantum Information

- Artificial Intelligence

- Quantum Simulation & Computation

 

Terms of Appointment

- Start Date: September 1, 2027 (negotiable)

- Duration: The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years, contingent upon research performance and funding availability
