    Publications - Instruction for authors

    a

    JRG Leader

The leader is strongly encouraged to publish reports and articles in scientific peer-reviewed literature. All publications related to the JRG leader’s appointment should include an appropriate statement of the JRG Program appointment, including the facility at which the research was conducted. For example, “This research was supported by an appointment to the JRG Program at the APCTP through the Science and Technology Promotion Fund and Lottery Fund of the Korean Government. This was also supported by the Korean Local Governments - Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Pohang City.”
The language may be edited as necessary, but all publications should include a statement acknowledging the JRG Program appointment, including the Center.
Some journals ask authors to provide their affiliation/address directly after the author’s name or as a footnote, and the leader should provide recognition for the JRG program and the APCTP, as well as for the POSTECH Physics Department-affiliated faculty. For example, “Lee, Benjamin, Junior Research Group Leader, Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics, Pohang, 37673, Korea & Lee, Benjamin, Adjunct Professor, Department of Physics, POSTECH, Pohang, 37673, Korea.”

    JRG/YST Fellow

The fellow is strongly encouraged to publish reports and articles in scientific peer-reviewed literature. All publications related to the fellowship appointment should include an appropriate statement of the JRG/YST Program appointment, including the facility at which the research was conducted. For example, “This research was supported by an appointment to the JRG/YST Program at the APCTP through the Science and Technology Promotion Fund and Lottery Fund of the Korean Government. This was also supported by the Korean Local Governments - Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Pohang City.”
The language may be edited as necessary, but all publications should include a statement acknowledging the JRG/YST Program appointment, including the Center.
Some journals ask authors to provide their affiliation/address directly after the author’s name or as a footnote, and the JRG/YST fellow should provide recognition for the JRG/YST program and the APCTP. For example, “Lee, Benjamin, Junior Research Group Program Fellow or Young Scientist Training Program Fellow, Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics, Pohang, 37673, Korea.”

    Other funding/grant holder

For those who hold a different source of research grant which is awarded by other funding bodies, i.e. NRF Korea, KRISS, etc., appropriate acknowledgement features are required.
(Sample) “This work was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) grant funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT under grant number [specific NRF grant number(s).”

In the case the funding/grant is administered by the Center, the following acknowledgement statement should be added to the sample statement listed above, in addition to acknowledging such funding body and grant number:
“The author(s) also acknowledge the support of the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP).”

    Authors of non-APCTP member

We appreciate your acknowledgement of the work done in association with us or by the support from the Center. When published, we appreciate if you could send the paper to us at ors(at)apctp.org.

The language of acknowledgement, which may be edited as necessary, should include a statement recognizing the Center. It can be as follows:
“This research was partially supported by the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics.”
